Camping in the Sheffield Battalion of the Boys’ Brigade has been running for over 100 years. With this strong tradition in mind, every year, the boys and girls from the 54th have the opportunity to attend a camping trip.
- The Junior section can attend Torksey Camp. This is held at a site in Torksey, Lincolnshire every spring and is run by the Batallion. It lasts for a full weekend (Friday evening through to Sunday daytime). Boys sleep in dormitories.
- Company Section and Seniors can attend our own annual camp, run alongside the 1st Dronfield company. The location for this has varied in recent years, but is expected to be at BB’s national headquarters at Feldon Lodge (near Hemel Hempstead) in 2013. At Feldon, boys sleep in tents; but at our other location in Norfolk, boys sleep in the Horstead Centre. This usually runs during the first week of the school summer holidays.
Costs and activities for both trips vary from year to year. More details will be published closer to the times of each.
